With a1932 Message from Pres.Franklin Delano Roosevelt

675 words                                                                                                   – Mary LaClair

Happiness is seeing the stars and knowing Who to thank. In the wee hours before dawn during the meteor shower of 9/18/01, the very magnitude of the heavens made me realize once again the very magnitude of our Creator!  I am glad I knew Who to thank.

Like lovers apart looking at the same moon, the awesome realization that people all over were seeing the same stars in the same heavens mesmerized me.

The Scriptures tell us that the returning of the Lord will be seen by all peoples. The whole world will see Him at His coming.  I was suddenly electrified with the realization that it would not be the way the world saw the imploding of a World Trade Center tower – through television; but that it would be the way I was watching the actual meteor shower with the rest of the world that morning.

I thrilled at the mind’s eye picture of the Lord standing with His feet on the horizon, in full color, His face appearing in the places where meteors travel, and His body filling the heavens!

Would we float up to Him on lofty rays of light radiating from His hands?

Are you watching for His return?

Ever notice when you smile at someone they inevitably smile back at you?

When was the last time you smiled at God?

When was the last time you remember us as a Nation smile at God?

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, in his first inaugural address, July 2, 1932 said,

“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself…We face arduous days that lie before us in the warm courage of national unity; with the clear consciousness of seeking old and precious moral values… In this dedication of a nation we humbly ask the blessing of God.  May He protect each and every one of us!  May He guide me in the days to come.”   FDR

Now that we have the warm courage of National unity, have we yet ‘consciously sought old and precious moral values’ as F.D.R. and others state, or do we still consciously seek to erase them by calling them intolerant and unconstitutional?  Many strive for a clear conscience; yet see where F.D.R. tells us one is to be found?

Historical papers (Proposed First Amendment from the Virginia Ratifying Convention June 27, 1788) actually openly acknowledge and state:

“That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it…”

Have we lost hold of the concept that we may actually have a duty to our Creator?  …and a responsibility to discharge it in proper order?

Do you know for sure whether the Lord will be smiling back at you when He returns?

Are you smiling at Him?

This thanksgiving season, let us have a renewed idea of those things for which we owe Him thanksgiving;  if our conscience whispers we may be just a little off track; let the survivors of the Attack on America remind us.   They were suddenly thankful for their spouses, their children, their neighbors.  They were reminded that relationships were suddenly more important than things.

“Heavenly Father, we thank you for showing us the value in each of our relationships, both old, present and yet to come.  We ask you to fill voids where relationships may be missing; in ourselves and others fill them first with a fresh knowledge of Yourself through a personal relationship with You, then may you add the human element; so keeping all relationships in proper order.  May we live by the Golden Rule treating others the way we wish to be treated ourselves. May we see our family and friends in a fresh and valued way and know Who to thank. Help us to learn from our mistakes and set our feet on straight paths. Thank you magnificent Father!”

Isa 66:1

Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool:”

Matt 5:35

“Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: “

Acts 7:49

“Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: “  KJV

When I heard that Pope Francis was taking a stand on global warming and meeting with the leaders of our Nation, I took concern. The issue of the popes getting involved in scientific issues in the past is revelatory and something we would do well to remember and learn from.

In the Catholic school system, we learned in grade school about the processes of discovery. One of the examples they taught us was the difference between the ‘truths’ of Ptolemy and the ‘truths’ of Copernicus, one of which was not truth at all. Attempting research on the issue, I found that the current issue of Pope Francis getting involved politically with global warming has recently been covered, and covered quite well.

I post that link here for you, my readers. This author has done a good job, no sense in my re-inventing the wheel. This reasoning is best applied to areas outside of global warming. It could almost become a ‘separation of church and state’ issue regarding the Pope intentionally interfering in our politics.

When JFK, the only other Catholic President, aspired to run for President many feared the Pope would then be running our country. Although that may not have been the case during JFK’s term, in my opinion those warnings are now proving to be prophetic in our time. Now, I ask: Is Rome running America from the Vatican?

Happy reading ! And: Remember to Look, Listen AND Think, as you read.

P.S. Since writing this, someone or something has called my attention to a book written by another. Its title is WASHINGTON IN THE LAP OF ROME? It may be found through GOOGLE. Once Googled similar items may show up; such as,

one titled: THE BLACK POPE — just a search on that name is found to be interesting….

About the Obama contraceptive mandate or ‘non-reproduction’ mandate:
Note: Obama wants contraceptive mandate.
Note: Obama is also for health-care paying for abortions. Representative Joe Wilson yelled “YOU LIE!” when “O” tried to deny this fact.
Note: Obama is also for excessive rights for illegal aliens.
What many possibly do not know is that researched data estimates the ratio of illegal aliens to that of aborted  Americans at about 38M*:40M**
It appears to me that Obama is embarking upon his own style of ‘replacement theology’, or ‘selective destruction’. He may call it ‘preventative medicine’ —  but what it prevents is Americans.
It also appears to me that he wants to replace these Americans with foreigners with little regard for our laws.
How shocking to have to think this because of a voting record of an American President.

Is It Possible To Abort A Nation Out of Existence?

400 words

The fear-mongering, counter-culture activists in the 1960’s once spread the poison idea that normal and natural reproduction would create a population explosion that our land could not handle. They claimed there wouldn’t be enough trees to clean the air and provide fuel, or enough pasture land to feed the cattle and grow crops necessary to feed our growing masses.

They advocated that married couples limit offspring to three; two to replace themselves with only one to grow on, or as a spare. This is the thinking which I believe set the stage for decriminalizing abortion and homosexuality, anything went as long as we didn’t multiply ourselves.  We couldn’t risk becoming an over populated country like China, or like India with their opium dens.

The results are in. Illegal immigration brings into our country, foreign speaking people with no regard for legalities; and in numbers rapidly equaling that required to replace our own aborted Americans.

And guess what?  There ARE still enough trees to clean the air with wood to burn, and there IS enough pasture land to feed the cattle and grow the crops.

The fear-mongering activists were wrong. And we believed them. Too bad we didn’t apply to our Christian Nation then, the Christian Scripture  “In a multitude of people is a king’s honor, But in the lack of people is the downfall of a prince.” Proverbs 14:28 NKJ.

A group called Californians for Population Stabilization, ( which contends that high levels of immigration are ruining the quality of life in that state, released a report with studies that estimated there are from 20 million to 38 million illegal immigrants in the United States.

“While various sources place the number of abortions anywhere between 40-48 million, the centers for Disease Control and Prevention would approximate the number of abortions performed since 1973 to be 40,944,029.”  Source;  Centers for Disease Control and prevention: Abortion Surveillance – United State 2003 Morbidity & Mortality Weekly Report Vol 55,  November 24, 2006.

Lessons that should be learned?  Beware of activists, even politicians, who cry ‘no more status quo’, beware the ‘counter culture’, even those who peddle ‘hope’, thus implying there is no current hope. Will we believe hype again?  Beware the unknown or we may become exiles in our own land because we once again believed a lie. Our “Hope” should be in God alone when life is lived by His rules.

U.S. Muslims, Mosques, Voting Results, Camels and Tents

                                                                                    – Mary A. LaClair

Muslims have proven to me to be blatantly hypocritical.  Both  radical Islam and the self proclaimed peaceful Islam have been further exposed, to me at least, as the false religion that it is. Let me explain with some examples. Muslims in Murfreesboro,TN tried to garner the sympathy of TV viewers regarding the demonstrations against their attempted building of a mosque in that community. A spokesman for the Muslims was seen walking over green grass while saying “America is a beautiful country.” He wasn’t walking on sand. The picture was set to be unarguable. Sure America is a beautiful country.

But America shouldn’t be beautiful to a Muslim. It should be a den of sin to Muslims because they believe in keeping women hidden behind burqas, with only faces or eyes showing while American women are walking around in mini-skirts and low cut tops. Sure America is a beautiful country. Many (FX), not all, female news anchors appear to have to meet the ‘show skin’ dress code, presumably to attract male viewers. This should offend all Muslims as a violation of their principles, yet they thinkAmericais a beautiful country. Of course! We have beautiful women and we don’t veil them. Therefore I find even the currently quiet Muslims hypocritical because they should find many American customs against their religion; yet, on their holiday they worship in the very New York City streets where our women are seen; and even sometimes too much of a woman is seen. I say they are blatantly hypocritical. Beware of white washed sepulchers. Being able to practice their religion here cannot be their main agenda because their religious beliefs should make them very uncomfortable with our way of life. Yet they ‘say’ they like our country. Who are they fooling?

A supposed peaceful Muslim, Muneer Awad has filed suit against the State of Oklahoma  “seeking a restraining order and preliminary injunction to prevent Oklahoma from certifying election results for State Question 755.”

The ruling of State Question 755 amends Article 7, Section 1 of the Oklahoma constitution, which was described on the ballot to voters, as a directive to state courts to “rely on federal and state law when deciding cases.” The description stated that the amendment would “forbid courts from considering or using international law.” It would also, Muneer said, “forbid courts from considering or using Sharia Law.”

An article from the AP wire appearing in our paper 5/13/2011 states: “…Muneer Awad, who heads the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Oklahoma, has failed to show how the proposed amendment adversely affects his Muslim faith. Awad says the measure, if enacted, would invalidate his will…”

They know the idiom of “when the camel gets his nose under the tent”, and we’d best refresh ourselves of its meaning. “First the camel gets his nose under the tent, followed by the head, then the neck and back, then the whole body until finally when he rises to his feet, he brings the tent down around him.”

Muneer Awad and his clan need to know that America was founded as a refuge for people who were being oppressed and persecuted by the laws in their own countries. America is NOT founded for the purpose of establishing the laws of other countries here on this soil. We will NOT have women being oppressed by Sharia Law in this country. Awad was NOT oppressed in his own country so perhaps he’d better return to his native land which has the laws he does like. I’ll personally send some grass seed with him, but he’d probably feed it to his camel. America, love it or leave it.

When your religious laws contradict our National laws, OUR National laws will rule. Period.

Incidentally, I don’t find it coincidental that the words “camel” and “tent” were chosen for this wise old saying.

It certainly adds new meaning to us here in America today!

Separation of Church and State Does Not Mean Separation of God and Country

Separation of church and state does not mean separation of God and country.

May it be remembered that this country was founded by people who left their homes and crossed the seas in order to get away from “anti-religion” and to get away from kings who had lost their “fear of God”; from kings who put their own mentality above that of God’s laws (secular humanism of today); from kings who punished people who spoke out against them for doing so as Sir Thomas Moore was punished, etc.

Anyone who has read the “Virginia Papers” (adopted on June 27, 1788) would know that separation came about, not as “anti-religion” vs “religion” as they would have us think, but as an effort that no one church be favored above others.  It was definitely looking for “equal favor” not “equal disfavor”.  Today’s people seem to errantly interchange the words church and religion, and church and God. God is not a church; and a church is not God.  Historical papers (Proposed First Amendment from the Virginia Ratifying Convention June 27, 1788) actually openly acknowledge and state:  “That religion, or the duty which we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it, can be directed only by reason and conviction, not by force or violence…”  They could no longer support the colonial Methodists over the new Presbyterians; yet in so acknowledging, they retained as important the duty of acknowledging our Creator.

These are active, positive words; not any passive, negative words. Separation of church and state, yes; separation of God and country, no; not according to this country’s founding documents and principles.

How many of those liberal separatists, of God and country, are trying to take out the one ingredient that made this country what it has been?  Who, when following a recipe, would leave out the egg or the baking soda?  When you take God out of this country, all you will get is an equally unpalatable mess on a national scale. This nation needs to return to the standards upon which it was founded. This nation needs to again openly acknowledge our Creator and recognize that we have a duty to Him, and discharge that duty by reason and conviction — if we are to hold on to that which has made us great.

Taking creationism out of the schools but not taking out evolutionism; imprisoning Operation Rescue non-violent, non-forceful (no weapons except that of reason) demonstrators; taking Christian events off the ‘secular menu’ while allowing gross indigestion on open cultist diets; removing the generic prayer and all mention of God from schools, removing Ten Commandments monument from a Federal Courthouse, allowing one man’s frivolous challenge to ‘under God’ in our national pledge…  these are ways in which we recognize “the duty we owe our Creator”?, and, “the manner of discharging it”?  Can we be surprised if we fall?

Alexis de Tocqueville, a Frenchman who came to America in the early 1800’s to determine the “secret” of our successful democracy, wrote, “Upon my arrival in the United States, the religious aspect of the country was the first thing that struck my attention.  Religion in America … must be regarded as the foremost of political institutions of that country.”

And yet, those who would see the demise of what was once a great nation, know that all they have to do is remove that one ingredient to see us fall; religion — duty to our Creator.  Not church, but religion and God, which is the background for all Christian churches. Churches, plural, as opposed to the singular Church of England.

Our forefathers may have clearly intended separation of church and state, but they did not intend separation from Godly religion, and they certainly did not intend separation God and country.  Rather, the joining of God and Country is the ingredient which has brought us so far.

To deny this would be to implement Pogo’s words:  “We have met the enemy and he is us!”       – end
